Business
Anson Resources Limited (ASX: ASN; OTC: ANSNF) is an Australian-based critical minerals exploration and development company focused on advancing lithium brine projects and other strategic mineral assets to supply the global clean energy transition. The company explores and develops lithium, bromine, uranium, vanadium, nickel, copper, PGE, cobalt, and base metals deposits through its primary Paradox Lithium Project and Green River Lithium Project in the Paradox Basin of southern Utah, United States, which target production of high-quality battery-grade lithium carbonate and co-products such as bromine; its Yellow Cat Uranium-Vanadium Project in Utah; and its Western Australia portfolio encompassing the Bull Nickel-Copper-PGE Project adjacent to Chalice Mining's Julimar deposit, the Ajana Project, and the Hooley Well Cobalt-Nickel Laterite Project covering 458 square kilometers in the Yilgarn Craton. Operations span the United States and Australia, with a US-based subsidiary A1 Lithium driving Paradox Basin development featuring low-cost advantages from high Li:TDS ratios, natural well pressure, existing infrastructure, and direct lithium extraction (DLE) pilot success in partnership with Koch Technology Solutions. Founded in 2009 and formerly known as Mayan Iron Corporation until its name change in January 2016, Anson Resources maintains dual headquarters in West Perth, Western Australia, and Newport Beach, California. In recent developments, the company signed a definitive offtake agreement in September 2025 with LG Energy Solution for up to 4,000 dry metric tonnes per annum of battery-grade lithium carbonate—representing 40% of initial Paradox Basin production capacity expected from 2028—conditional on commercial production and product qualification; achieved key permitting milestones including Underground Injection Control approval for Green River; reported a maiden JORC Mineral Resource at Green River with elevated lithium values; and advanced DLE demonstration plant plans via a memorandum of understanding with POSCO Holdings.
