Business
GreenTech Metals Limited (ASX:GRE) is an exploration and development company focused on discovering, developing and acquiring battery minerals projects, including lithium, copper, nickel, platinum group elements (PGE), zinc, gold and cobalt deposits, primarily in Western Australia's underexplored West Pilbara region. The company holds key assets such as the Whundo Copper-Zn project, featuring six volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) style deposits including Whundo East, Whundo West, Ayshia, Austin, Yannery and Shelby with a combined inferred resource of 6.2 million tonnes at 1.12% copper and 1.04% zinc; the Pilbara Lithium project encompassing the Kobe and Southern lithium prospects with over 12km of combined spodumene-bearing pegmatite strike length across more than 225 square kilometres of tenure; and exploration rights to over 20km of an emerging 40km lithium corridor. Incorporated in 2021 and headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, GreenTech operates exclusively in Australia with tenements located southwest of Karratha, approximately 10km from the Radio Hill processing facility. Recent developments include the completion of 1,187 metres of drilling at Whundo in 2024 yielding high-grade intercepts such as 7.14 metres at 1.46% copper and 1.23% zinc from Austin and 9.94 metres at 1.32% copper from Shelby, alongside ongoing stage 2 diamond drilling targeting down-plunge extensions; formation of the 50/50 Andover Lithium joint venture with Artemis Resources in early 2025 consolidating over 420 square kilometres of lithium rights into Andover Lithium Pty Ltd; regulatory approval in June 2025 for Metals X Limited to acquire a strategic stake enhancing GreenTech's copper exposure; and a December 2025 conditional agreement to acquire 70% of Alien Metals' Munni Munni project covering 180 square kilometres in the West Pilbara, with GreenTech committing to a minimum A$3 million capital raise.
