Business
Minerals 260 Limited (ASX:MI6) engages in mineral exploration and development focused on gold and base metals in Western Australia; its primary assets include the Bullabulling Gold Project, one of Australia's largest undeveloped open-pittable gold resources with a JORC 2012 Mineral Resource Estimate of 60 million tonnes at 1.2 grams per tonne gold for 2.3 million ounces, alongside the 100%-owned Moora Copper-Gold-PGE Project covering 371 square kilometres in the Julimar Mineral Province with prospects such as Mynt (up to 24 metres at 1.9% copper and 0.7 g/t gold), Angepena (up to 43 metres at 1.8 g/t gold), Dwel and Acga; the Aston Lithium-Uranium-REE Project spanning 1,750 square kilometres in the Gascoyne Province with lithium trends, uranium-vanadium anomalies and rare earth potential; and the Dingo Rocks base and precious metals project. The company targets precious metals including gold and palladium, battery-related metals such as lithium and rare earth elements, and base metals like copper, nickel, cobalt and zinc, operating through subsidiaries ERL (Aust) Pty Ltd and Minerals 260 Holdings Pty Ltd in the Eastern Goldfields, Julimar Mineral Province and Gascoyne regions. Incorporated in 2021 and headquartered at Level 2, 1292 Hay Street, West Perth, Minerals 260 advances systematic exploration with extensive drilling programs, including over 36,000 metres at Moora and plans for an 80,000-metre infill and extension campaign at Bullabulling. In a major strategic shift, the company executed binding documentation in early 2025 to acquire 100% of the Bullabulling Gold Project from Norton Gold Fields for A$156.5 million cash plus A$10 million in shares, providing an immediate production platform at an acquisition cost of A$74 per ounce; it appointed Tim Goyder as Chairman, Stacey Apostolou as Non-Executive Director and Jamie Armes as CFO and Company Secretary, while granting new tenements at Aston, completing infill auger drilling and FLEM geophysics at Moora's Mount Yule anomaly, and planning to surrender Dingo Rocks in Q1 2025 amid a strategic portfolio review focused on gold development.
