Business
Resource Minerals International Ltd Resource Minerals International Ltd (ASX:RMI), formerly Resource Mining Corporation Limited, is an Australia-based minerals exploration company focused on critical battery minerals including copper, gold, nickel, lithium and platinum group elements. The company advances a portfolio of prospective projects in Tanzania and Finland, such as the Mpanda and Mbozi copper-gold projects in Western Tanzania's Ubendian Orogenic Belt; the Liparamba, Kitai, Mbinga and Kabanga North nickel projects in Southern and Northwestern Tanzania; the Kapalagulu nickel-copper-PGE project in Tanzania; the Kola lithium project in Central Finland adjacent to the Keliber lithium mine; and the Hirvikallio lithium project in Southern Finland near battery manufacturing facilities. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, Resource Minerals International Ltd targets battery metals demand from electric vehicles and renewable energy storage through exploration activities in these leading mining jurisdictions. In August 2025, the company changed its name from Resource Mining Corporation Limited to reflect its expanded international focus; it recently acquired the high-quality Mpanda and Mbozi copper-gold projects, secured an exploration permit and planned drilling for the Kola lithium project, and obtained an option to acquire a joint venture interest in projects in Saudi Arabia alongside a $5 million funding facility to support ongoing exploration programs including drilling at Mpanda.
