Sumas Suni Tahta ve Mobilya Sanayii AS is a Turkey-based forest products and wood-based panel manufacturing company engaged in the production, processing, and distribution of particleboards, engineered wood panels, and related furniture materials. The company operates through comprehensive product lines comprising raw particleboards in multiple thicknesses, standard formats, and density grades; melamine-faced particleboards (MFC) available in a wide selection of decorative decors, woodgrain textures, solid colors, and embossed surface finishes; painted, printed, and surface-treated decorative panels for modular furniture and interior fittings; specialized moisture-resistant and structural wood panels for construction, cabinetry, architectural millwork, wall cladding, and interior partitioning; cut-to-size engineered panels tailored to customer specifications; and related wood-processing by-products. The company primarily serves residential and commercial furniture producers, interior architecture firms, joinery manufacturers, building contractors, and packaging distributors across domestic and regional international markets. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Balikesir, Turkey, Sumas Suni Tahta ve Mobilya Sanayii AS maintains integrated manufacturing, drying, pressing, and melamine coating facilities in Balikesir. In recent operations, the company has implemented modernization programs across its continuous pressing and melamine lamination lines to increase production throughput, invested in industrial rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) power installations at its production facility to enhance energy self-sufficiency and reduce carbon emissions, carried out capital structure reorganizations via equity adjustments, and expanded its portfolio of low-emission, eco-certified wood panels compliant with E1 and sustainable forestry standards to meet growing export demand.
