Business
Ebro Motors Group EV SA, formerly known as EV Motors, S.A., is a Spanish automotive manufacturer and mobility engineering company engaged in the design, development, industrialization, and commercialization of electric and hybrid passenger and commercial vehicles under the revived historic Ebro brand. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Martorell, Barcelona, Spain, the company operates across two principal divisions: Vehicle Manufacturing and Automotive Engineering Services. The company's product and service portfolio includes mid-size and large passenger sport utility vehicles (SUVs) encompassing the Ebro S400, Ebro S700, Ebro S800, and Ebro S900, available across hybrid electric (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV), and battery electric vehicle (BEV) powertrains; all-electric pickup trucks and light commercial utility vehicles; proprietary battery management systems, electric drivetrains, and integrated vehicle software platforms; turnkey automotive engineering, industrial component development, computer-aided design, vehicle testing, and homologation services through its subsidiary Barcelona Technical Center, S.L. (BTech); and comprehensive vehicle warranty, maintenance, after-sales technical support, and dealer network distribution services. Ebro Motors Group EV SA serves retail consumers, commercial fleet operators, and institutional clients across Spain and the wider European automotive market. In recent corporate developments, the company listed its shares on the Spanish BME Growth exchange in October 2024 under the ticker symbol EBROM. The group entered into a strategic manufacturing joint venture with Chinese automaker Chery Automobile, in which it holds the majority stake, to reindustrialize and operate the former Nissan manufacturing complex in Barcelona's Zona Franca for the local production of Ebro-branded and Chery-engineered vehicles. In addition, the company initiated the commercial launch and assembly of its flagship Ebro S700 and S800 SUV models, formalized a retail and wholesale automotive financing alliance with CA Auto Bank, and completed a corporate restructuring and rebranding to unify its business operations under the Ebro brand.
