Boiron S.A. Boiron SA researches, develops, manufactures, and distributes homeopathic medicines worldwide as the global leader in the sector. The company produces over 1,500 remedies including non-proprietary generic homeopathic medicines and proprietary over-the-counter specialties such as Oscillococcinum for flu symptoms, Stodal and Stodaline cough syrups, Arnigel and Arnicalme topical gels for pain relief and bruising, Camilia for teething discomfort, Sedatif PC for sleep disorders, Coryzalia for cold symptoms, Homeoptic eye drops, and Homeovox for vocal issues; it also offers plant-based phytotherapy products, cosmetics like diaper creams with over 99% natural ingredients, nutritional supplements, and storage solutions sold through pharmacies, chains, wholesalers, grocery stores, health food outlets, and online platforms. Boiron operates through integrated facilities handling registration to distribution, with production plants and a new 18,000 square meter global distribution platform in Olmes equipped with advanced robotics; it maintains subsidiaries in more than 50 countries across Europe, North America including strong U.S. presence generating significant e-commerce revenue, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and other regions. Founded in 1932 by pharmacist brothers Jean and Henri Boiron in Paris, France, the company expanded via mergers in 1967, relocated headquarters and main production to Ste. Foy-lès-Lyon near Lyon in 1974, and now bases operations in Messimy, France. Recent developments include EW Healthcare Partners acquiring a 25% minority stake in Boiron Développement in September 2025 at an €875 million enterprise value with the Boiron family transferring their 70% stake to support growth into new healthcare verticals especially in the U.S., launching a renewable energy self-consumption project in Messimy in February 2025, receiving a Parents' Community Award for its diaper cream in April 2025, and participating in the Courir pour Elles solidarity run against women's cancers in July 2025; governance changes occurred in July 2024 alongside a new diversification strategy.
