In recent developments, BPI provided financing for 40% of Prime Infrastructure Capital's P47.07 billion acquisition of First Gen Corp.'s gas-fired power plants approved by the Philippine Competition Commission in October 2025, furthering its renewable energy investments; supported the acquisition of Philippine Coastal Storage and Pipeline Corporation, the country's largest import storage operator; sustained strong loan book expansion of 13% year-on-year to P2.3 trillion as of mid-2025 ahead of industry averages; and advanced its sustainable funding framework with a second party opinion issued in October 2025 covering green, blue and social projects including solar, wind, geothermal and smart grid technologies, while achieving accolades such as best acquisition financing and cash management market leadership in 2024 awards.
