Business
Karbonsteel Engineering Limited is an India-based engineering and infrastructure solutions provider that designs, fabricates, machines, and erects heavy and precision structural steel components. The company operates across four primary business verticals: Heavy Structural Steel, Precision Fabricated Structures, Steel Bridge Infrastructure, and Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB). Its comprehensive product and service portfolio includes heavy structural frameworks for steel plants, chemical processing units, and oil and gas refineries; welded steel bridge girders and composite spans for railway and highway infrastructure; pre-engineered industrial buildings, warehouses, and specialized roofing systems; technological structures, material handling conveyors, and boiler support assemblies; precision-machined industrial components and pipe spools; and the supply and distribution of specialized steel plates, including pressure vessel, boiler quality, and high-tensile structural steel. Karbonsteel Engineering serves commercial, industrial, and government clients across the infrastructure, transport, manufacturing, energy, and heavy engineering sectors throughout India, supported by advanced manufacturing and fabrication units located in Umbergaon, Gujarat, and Khopoli, Maharashtra. Founded in 2011 as Karbon Steelmart Private Limited and headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the company transitioned from a private entity into Karbonsteel Engineering Private Limited in March 2022 before converting into a public limited entity under its current name in June 2024. In September 2025, Karbonsteel Engineering completed its initial public offering on the BSE SME platform (BSE: 544511), raising approximately INR 59.30 crore to finance manufacturing capacity expansions and support growing working capital requirements. Over the past two years, the company has scaled its operational capabilities and expanded its order book through major public and private infrastructure contracts, notably manufacturing and delivering high-specification steel bridge structures for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor.
