Business
Rajasthan Cylinders and Containers Ltd. (RCCL.BO) manufactures and supplies a range of industrial gas cylinders and related products. The company produces seamless steel gas cylinders for applications including medical oxygen, industrial gases, fire extinguishers, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG); high-pressure seamless cylinders under brands such as RCCL for oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and helium; and welded cylinders for low-pressure gases. It also offers cylinder testing, refurbishment, and valve services; hydro-testing facilities; and ancillary products like cylinder trolleys, caps, and palletizing solutions. Established in 1992 and headquartered in Jaipur, India, the company operates primarily in the industrial gases and pressure vessels sector, serving customers in healthcare, manufacturing, fire safety, and energy industries across India with distribution networks in major states. As part of the Bajoria Group, it maintains manufacturing facilities in Rajasthan and focuses on compliance with Indian standards such as IS 7285 for seamless cylinders. Its target markets include hospitals for medical gases, industrial users for technical gases, and retail for fire safety equipment. In recent developments, Rajasthan Cylinders and Containers Ltd. expanded production capacity through a new greenfield manufacturing plant commissioned in 2023 at a cost of INR 100 crore, increasing output of high-pressure cylinders by 50%. The company secured a strategic partnership with a leading Indian steel supplier in early 2025 to ensure raw material availability amid rising demand for medical oxygen cylinders post-pandemic. Additionally, it launched a new line of composite-wrapped cylinders for enhanced safety in 2024 and completed a funding round via qualified institutional placement in late 2024 to support further geographic expansion into eastern India.
