Business
Shree Ajit Pulp and Paper Limited manufactures premium grade kraft paper, including multilayer testliner (triple wire), testliner (single wire), fluting medium, semi kraft liner, and machine-glazed (MG) kraft paper, all produced from 100% recycled waste paper with GSM ranging from 80 to 300 and burst factor from 20 to 35, available in natural and Ajit Gold shades; these products serve packaging applications such as corrugated boxes, duplex cartons, paper bags, and industrial needs across textiles, oil, FMCG, automobile components, and pharmaceuticals. The company operates two paper machines—a triple wire machine (PM-1) with a 2740 mm deckle and a single wire MG machine (PM-2) with a 2700 mm deckle—at its integrated manufacturing facility in Vapi, Gujarat, India, with a total production capacity of 108,000 tonnes per annum; it caters to over 500 customers, including multinational corporations, and holds FSC certification for eco-friendly practices. Incorporated in 1995 and listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company is headquartered at Survey No. 239, Near Morai Railway Crossing, Village Salvav, Vapi, Valsad District, Gujarat 396191, India, with a subsidiary named Shree Samrudhi Industrial Papers Pvt. Ltd. In recent developments, Shree Ajit Pulp and Paper completed the acquisition and integration of Unit-II from NR Agarwal Industries Limited at GIDC Vapi, Gujarat, involving debt-funded capital expenditure of approximately Rs. 336 crore to expand kraft paper capacity, with phase II installations facing time overruns but now operational as an import substitute; the company installed advanced equipment from Valmet, including an OptiFlo Layering Fourdrinier headbox with Aqua layering technology, Valmet Conical Refiners Pro, and Conflo, commissioned in early 2024 to produce lightweight products and enhance strength properties. It conducted a rights issue in 2024 to support expansion and issued partly paid-up equity shares; production resumed on August 25, 2025, following a shutdown on August 16, 2025, while ICRA reaffirmed long-term BBB+ (Stable) and short-term A2 ratings on August 27, 2025, reflecting expected revenue growth amid volatile wastepaper prices and competition. The company reported standalone net sales of Rs. 177.09 crore for June 2025 (up 49.8% year-over-year) and consolidated net sales of Rs. 155.06 crore for March 2025 (up significantly), underscoring robust operational recovery and capacity utilization.
