- Alkim Kagit Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. is a Turkey-based manufacturing company primarily engaged in the production, processing, and distribution of high-grade wood-free printing, writing, coated, and specialty paper products. The company operates as a key subsidiary of Alkim Alkali Kimya A.S. and serves commercial printers, publishers, stationery converters, packaging fabricators, and corporate end-users across domestic and international markets.
The company's product portfolio is organized into four core segments: wood-free offset papers, comprising first-quality offset writing and printing papers, continuous form papers, and bristol board; coated papers, including one-side and two-side coated glossy, matte, and label-base papers; office papers, featuring cut-size A4 and A3 copying and multifunction xerographic papers commercialized under proprietary brand names such as Platinum Copy, Gold Copy, Best Copy, and All Copy; and technical and specialty papers, encompassing envelope papers, drafting and drawing papers, blueprint media, optical mark reader papers, shopping bag kraft papers, ivory board, chamois papers, interleaving grades, and wallpaper base substrates.
Alkim Kagit was founded in 1996 as part of the broader industrial operations of the Alkim Group, tracing its chemical and mineral heritage to 1948, and commenced manufacturing operations in 1997. The company is headquartered in Kemalpasa, Izmir, Turkey, where it maintains an integrated production and converting complex equipped with computerized distributed control systems (DCS) and quality control systems (QCS). In addition to supplying its domestic market, Alkim Kagit exports a significant portion of its output to more than 30 countries throughout Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa.
In recent operational and corporate developments, Alkim Kagit has undertaken a major multi-phase capital expansion program to install a second high-capacity paper production line at its Kemalpasa manufacturing facility. This strategic investment is designed to raise the company's total annual output capacity from approximately 90,000 metric tons to 210,000 metric tons and broaden its substance range from 60 grams per square meter to 400 grams per square meter. To support the funding of the machinery installation, commissioning phases, and corresponding working capital requirements, the company approved a targeted equity capital increase from TRY 735,000,000 to TRY 955,500,000, fully backed by financial capital commitments from its parent entity, Alkim Alkali Kimya A.S.
