Grand Hotel Bucharest S.A. is a Romania-based hospitality company engaged in the ownership, operation, and management of luxury accommodation, dining, and event facilities. The company operates the Grand Hotel Bucharest, a five-star landmark property situated at University Square in central Bucharest, Romania. Grand Hotel Bucharest S.A. provides a comprehensive portfolio of hospitality services and amenities, including luxury guest lodging comprising 257 guestrooms, executive rooms, and suites featuring private city-view balconies; full-service food and beverage operations across specialized on-site culinary venues, including the Corso Brasserie, the Intermezzo Piano Bar, and the panoramic 21st-floor Sky Lounge; corporate conference, banquet, and meeting solutions encompassing approximately 1,500 square meters of multifunctional event space across 12 meeting rooms and the Ronda Grand Ballroom equipped with audiovisual technology; wellness, fitness, and recreation facilities via Health Club 22, which offers a panoramic indoor heated swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, saunas, hydrotherapy tubs, and specialized spa treatments; and auxiliary guest support services, including 24-hour room service, dedicated concierge, valet parking, an executive lounge, a business center, and event catering. The company caters to international and domestic business travelers, corporate delegations, leisure tourists, diplomatic missions, and event organizers. Originally established with the opening of the landmark hotel tower in 1971, incorporated as a commercial company in 1996 under the name Compania Hoteliera Intercontinental Romania S.A., and listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol RCHI, the company is headquartered in Bucharest, Romania. In recent strategic developments, the company concluded its long-standing management agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group at the end of 2021, transitioning into an independently operated hotel and formally rebranding its corporate and operational name to Grand Hotel Bucharest S.A. in 2022. Following the brand repositioning, the company advanced an extensive capital expenditure and modernization program valued at approximately 21 million euros across 2022 to 2024, refurbishing guest accommodations, public venues, technical systems, and event spaces to align operations with international five-star hospitality standards.
