- Semrom Oltenia SA is a Romania-based agricultural supply and agribusiness services company headquartered in Craiova, Dolj County. Founded in 1998 following the regional restructuring of the former state seed enterprise SC Semrom SA București, the company operates primarily as an agricultural input distributor and service provider for farming enterprises and commercial growers across southwestern and southern Romania, maintaining facilities and commercial branches throughout Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Mehedinți, Gorj, Vâlcea, and Argeș counties. Controlled by majority shareholder Longshield Investment Group (formerly SIF Muntenia SA) and listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange under the ticker SEOL, the company conducts operations across four core business areas: Seed Distribution and Production; Crop Protection and Plant Nutrition; Seed Conditioning and Processing; and Grain Storage and Real Estate Services. Its comprehensive product and service offering comprises: certified agricultural seeds, encompassing hybrid corn, sunflower, wheat, barley, triticale, rapeseed, soybean, technical, and forage crop seeds developed in partnership with domestic research centers and multinational breeders including Syngenta, Corteva Agriscience, KWS, Limagrain, and Bayer; plant protection products, encompassing selective and non-selective herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, seed dressing treatments, and crop biostimulants; plant nutrition products, including complex mineral fertilizers, nitrogen-based fertilizers, and specialized micro-nutrients sourced from local and international manufacturers such as Azomureș; industrial seed conditioning services, including mechanical cleaning, sorting, calibrating, chemical treatment, bagging, and official certification performed at dedicated conditioning stations; and agricultural logistics and real estate management, including grain storage, drying, handling, and the commercial leasing of company-owned warehouse facilities, logistics yards, and office spaces. In recent corporate developments, Semrom Oltenia SA entered into a definitive merger by absorption approved by shareholders in August 2026, under which commercial real estate company Bucur SA acts as the absorbing entity to integrate the assets, liabilities, and business operations of Semrom Oltenia SA alongside Casa de Bucovina - Club de Munte SA, leading to the operational consolidation of the group's assets, share exchange distribution to equity holders, and the statutory dissolution and deregistration of Semrom Oltenia SA.
