Ledesma S.A.A.I. (Sociedad Anónima Agrícola Industrial) is an Argentine vertically integrated agro-industrial conglomerate primarily engaged in the cultivation, processing, manufacturing, and commercialization of sugarcane-derived products, paper, citrus fruits, grains, livestock, and energy. Founded in 1908 and headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the company conducts its primary manufacturing and agricultural operations at its integrated agro-industrial complex in Libertador General San Martín, Jujuy Province, alongside extensive agricultural lands in Buenos Aires and Entre Ríos provinces. The company operates through five core business segments: Sugar and Alcohol, Paper, Fruits and Juices, Agriculture and Livestock, and Energy. Its comprehensive product portfolio comprises refined white sugar, light sugar, organic sugar, liquid sugar, and non-caloric table sweeteners marketed under the Ledesma brand; printing, writing, and copy paper manufactured from 100% sugarcane bagasse fiber, along with notebooks and school and stationery supplies marketed under the Ledesma NAT, Éxito, Gloria, Congreso, and Autor brands, as well as 100% biodegradable and compostable disposable tableware under the Ledesma NAT line; ethyl alcohol and pharmaceutical-grade alcohol, as well as sugarcane-based bioethanol produced for Argentina's mandatory national fuel blending program; fresh citrus fruits including Valencia oranges, lemons, and grapefruits, along with frozen concentrated citrus juices, essential oils, and dehydrated citrus pulp pellets for animal feed; agricultural commodities including corn, wheat, and soybeans, as well as beef cattle breeding and fattening managed through its agricultural subsidiary, La Biznaga S.A.A.I.F. y M.; and electrical energy co-generation derived from sugarcane bagasse and forestry biomass, hydroelectric generation assets, and equity participation in natural gas and petroleum exploration and exploitation blocks in northwest Argentina. Ledesma distributes its products domestically across retail, wholesale, and industrial sectors, while exporting fresh citrus, concentrated juices, essential oils, specialty sugars, and eco-friendly paper products to international markets across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. In recent operational developments, the company has advanced its Genesis XXI multi-year modernization and competitiveness program, deploying tens of millions of dollars in capital expenditures across 2024 through 2026 to upgrade its sugar milling infrastructure, optimize industrial extraction efficiencies, expand automated pressurized drip irrigation across its sugarcane plantations, and scale production of its sustainable unbleached bagasse paper and biodegradable food containers.
