Compañía Cervecerías Unidas S.A. (CCU) is a diversified beverage company primarily operating in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay, and other Latin American markets. Founded in 1850 and headquartered in Santiago, Chile, CCU produces, sells, and distributes a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its main products include beer under proprietary and licensed brands such as Cristal (flagship brand in Chile), Heineken, Sol, Budweiser, Kunstmann, Austral, Coors Tecate, and Blue Moon. The company also offers soft drinks, carbonated beverages, nectars, juices, sports and energy drinks, ice teas, bottled water, as well as a full portfolio of wines, pisco, rum, and cider through its subsidiary Viña San Pedro Tarapacá S.A. (VSPT), catering to both domestic and export markets. Recent major changes include a strategic partnership in 2024 with the Paraguayan conglomerate Vierci Group, controlling 51% of the shares in three entities that hold the PepsiCo beverage license and snack distribution in Paraguay, expanding CCU’s presence in soft drinks and convenience beverage sectors. Additionally, in 2025, CCU acquired a 49% stake in Aguas Danone de Argentina S.A. (ADA), strengthening its footprint in the bottled water segment within Argentina. The company also continues to execute its 2025-2027 Strategic Plan focusing on profitability, growth, and sustainability, highlighting strategic pricing to support margins and volume growth across key beverage categories. CCU operates through business segments including Chile, International Business (covering Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay), and Wine, ensuring comprehensive beverage market coverage. Its product portfolio is extensive, ranging from beers, soft drinks, juices, and energy drinks to premium wines and spirits. The company leverages a strong regional presence with manufacturing plants primarily in Chile and Argentina, complemented by strategic distribution networks across its operational countries.
