CNA Financial Corporation (NYSE: CNA) is an insurance holding company providing commercial property and casualty insurance products and services primarily to businesses and professionals in the United States, Canada and Europe. The company operates through Specialty, Commercial, International, Life & Group, and Corporate & Other segments; Specialty offerings include professional liability coverages and risk management services for architects, real estate agents, accounting and law firms, directors and officers, employment practices, fiduciary, fidelity and cyber coverages for small and mid-size firms, public and privately held firms and not-for-profit organizations, professional and general liability as well as associated standard property and casualty coverages for the healthcare industry, surety and fidelity bonds, and warranty and alternative risk products; Commercial products comprise property, marine, boiler and machinery coverages, workers' compensation, general and product liability, commercial auto, umbrella, excess and surplus lines; International solutions encompass property & casualty and specialty products through platforms in Canada, Lloyd’s, continental Europe and the U.K.; the company also provides specialized services including risk control, claims administration, affinity programs through managing general underwriters, construction insurance, financial lines, middle market solutions, national accounts property and casualty, small business policies under the CNA Connect brand, marine insurance and surety bonds via CNA Surety. CNA Financial Corporation maintains approximately 59 offices across 11 countries, including headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, where its principal operating subsidiary Continental Casualty Company traces origins to 1897; the company operates as a majority-owned subsidiary of Loews Corporation and supports over 200 countries and territories through a strategic partner network.
