Core Natural Resources, Inc. Core Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE: CNR) is a leading producer, seller and exporter of high-quality, low-cost metallurgical coals and high calorific value thermal coals for global seaborne markets and U.S. power generation. The company operates through the Pennsylvania Mining Complex (PAMC) segment, which mines, prepares and markets bituminous coal to power generators, industrial customers and metallurgical end-users; and the CONSOL Marine Terminal segment, which provides coal export services through the Port of Baltimore. Core Natural Resources also leverages ownership interests in additional export terminals on the Eastern seaboard and maintains longwall mining operations including Leer, Leer South and West Elk mines to serve demand for steel production, infrastructure development and energy needs worldwide, with a primary focus on the United States and international markets. Founded in 1864 and headquartered in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, the company was formed in January 2025 through the merger of CONSOL Energy Inc. and Arch Resources, Inc., after which it changed its name from CONSOL Energy Inc. to Core Natural Resources, Inc.; recent developments include a successful refinancing of tax-exempt bonds in March 2025, enhanced annual synergy targets of $150 million to $170 million announced in Q2 2025, and strong Q3 2025 financial results with net income of $31.6 million.
