Founded in 2011 and headquartered at Central Plaza One, Level 33, 345 Queen Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, Coronado Global Resources employs approximately 1,950 people directly plus contractors and remains a subsidiary of Coronado Group LLC, with a proven track record of growth from under 0.5 million tonnes of production in 2013 to over 16 million tonnes in 2022, alongside more than A$1.5 billion in shareholder distributions since its ASX listing in 2018. In recent developments, the company secured a strategic $300 million liquidity facility from Stanwell Corporation in 2025, encompassing prepayments, rebate deferrals, a rebate waiver, and a five-year thermal coal supply agreement that enhances cash flow stability amid challenging metallurgical coal prices; additionally, Sev.en Global Investments terminated its 2024 agreement to acquire a 51% stake, while Coronado released its enhanced 2024 Group Sustainability Report with sharpened climate focus ahead of Australia's 2026 mandatory reporting requirements, alongside ongoing expansions at the Buchanan mine complex.
