CCM Community Impact Bond Fund Institutional Shares (CRANX) is an investment-grade, intermediate-duration bond mutual fund that seeks to provide a high level of current income consistent with the preservation of capital through investments believed by its advisor, Community Capital Management, LLC, to generate positive environmental and social impacts, with most bonds qualifying under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) of 1977. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in bonds, debt securities, and other debt instruments meeting its impact criteria, primarily securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies, instrumentalities, or sponsored enterprises, including single-family, multi-family, and economic development loan-backed securities issued by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae; it offers CRA targeting for bank shareholders to direct capital to specific assessment areas with customized CRA reporting, as well as customizable impact options for eligible institutional investors to tailor allocations by geography, impact themes, or initiatives with accompanying impact reports. Launched in 2007 and headquartered in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, the fund serves nearly 400 banks nationwide alongside non-financial institutional investors such as faith-based organizations, endowments, foundations, healthcare entities, insurance companies, non-profits, public funds, and high-net-worth individuals, managing approximately $3.4 billion in assets with an expense ratio of 0.44% and a 12-month yield of 3.08% as of late 2025. In March 2021, the fund underwent a significant rebranding from CRA Qualified Investment Fund Institutional Shares to its current name, reflecting an expanded emphasis on broader impact investing beyond strict CRA compliance.
