Business
Critical Elements Lithium Corporation (CRECF) is a Canada-based mining exploration and development company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, evaluation, development, and processing of critical minerals properties, primarily focused on lithium and tantalum deposits to supply the electric vehicle and energy storage industries. The company owns over 1,050 square kilometers of prospective lands in Quebec, including its flagship Rose Lithium-Tantalum project comprising 473 claims covering 244.99 square kilometers in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region; this advanced project features one of the highest-purity hard rock spodumene deposits globally, with low iron and mica content suitable for producing battery-grade lithium hydroxide, technical-grade and chemical-grade spodumene concentrates (5-6% Li2O), and tantalite concentrates, supported by a feasibility study outlining a 17-year mine life processing 1.61 million tonnes of ore annually. Additional properties include the Nemaska Belt portfolio with nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE potential, Rose West extensions, Lemare Lithium project, Duval, and others explored for lithium, rare earths, niobium, and associated minerals; operations target battery materials, ceramics, glass, and electronics markets primarily in North America. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Blainville, Quebec, the company, formerly known as Critical Elements Corporation until its name change in June 2019, maintains wholly-owned assets with no reported subsidiaries or parent relationships, emphasizing sustainable development through partnerships with Cree Nation communities such as impact benefit agreements and joint environmental initiatives. In the past two years, Critical Elements Lithium has secured key environmental authorizations including federal and provincial approvals for the Rose project, an amended federal Decision Statement in May 2025, and the first site preparation permit in February 2025; obtained conditional C$20 million federal funding for critical minerals infrastructure and a support letter for up to US$115 million financing from a leading Canadian institution in February 2025; completed a C$6.0 million bought deal LIFE private placement in November 2025 to fund Rose West exploration; repurchased 49% interest in the Bourier property in July 2025; reported high-grade polymetallic discoveries on Nemaska Belt properties including up to 5.7% Cu, 0.82% Ni, and significant precious metals in November 2025; and advanced summer exploration plans with electromagnetic surveys confirming conductors.
