Founded in 1917 in New York City by brothers-in-law J. Clydesdale Cushman and Bernard Wakefield, the company is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and operates from approximately 400 offices across 60 countries with 52,000 professionals managing over 5 billion square feet of commercial space; it generated $9.5 billion in revenue in 2023 and $9.4 billion in 2024.
