Business
Donaldson Company, Inc. creates and distributes advanced filtration systems and essential replacement components globally. The firm operates through three primary segments: Mobile Solutions, Industrial Solutions, and Life Sciences. The Mobile Solutions division offers comprehensive filtration solutions for air, fuel, lube, and hydraulic applications, alongside exhaust and emissions control systems and various monitoring tools. These products serve original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across sectors such as construction, mining, agriculture, aerospace, defense, and transportation. Additionally, this segment supplies independent distributors, OEM dealer networks, private label accounts, and substantial equipment fleets. The Industrial Solutions division provides a broad array of products, including collectors for dust, fume, and mist, advanced compressed air purification systems, and specialized gas and liquid filtration for food, beverage, and diverse industrial processes. It also manufactures air filtration systems for gas turbines, innovative polytetrafluoroethylene membrane-based materials, and highly specialized air and gas filtration for applications like hard disk drives and semiconductor manufacturing. This segment targets industrial dealers, distributors, OEMs of gas turbines, and various OEMs and end-users requiring filtration and replacement filters. The newly formed Life Sciences segment focuses on bioprocessing equipment, including bioreactors, fermenters, and tangential flow filtration systems, along with membrane chromatography products and purification tools for a wide range of biologics. This expansion into life sciences has been driven by strategic acquisitions, including Solaris Biotechnology, Purilogics, and Isolere Bio Inc., strengthening its position in rapidly evolving biotechnology markets. Established in 1915, Donaldson Company, Inc. maintains its headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota. The company recorded sales of $3.7 billion in fiscal year 2025, demonstrating consistent growth and a robust aftermarket revenue model. The company has a long history of financial stability, marked by 70 consecutive years of quarterly dividend payments and 30 consecutive years of annual dividend increases.
