Diageo plc operates through segments including North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and a global supply chain handling production in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Guatemala, and Mexico. In recent developments, the company sold its Italian beverage plant to NewPrinces in 2025 securing 349 jobs, divested its majority stake in Guinness Ghana Breweries to Castel Group for $81 million in January 2025 and Cacique rum to La Martiniquaise in the same period, transferred North American rights for Cîroc to Main Street Advisors in June 2025, acquired non-alcoholic spirits brand Ritual Zero Proof in September 2024, reopened the Port Ellen distillery in March 2024 after 40 years, formed the Diageo Luxury Group in November 2024, launched a Breakthrough Innovation team in January 2024 focused on disruptive business models and sustainability, and initiated the Accelerate programme targeting $625 million in cost savings over three years amid a lowered full-year outlook due to soft North American and Chinese demand as of November 2025.
