Founded in 2003 and headquartered in San Francisco, California, the company originally launched in Seattle, Washington. In recent years, DocuSign has accelerated its strategic shift to IAM, launching the platform in fiscal 2025 to expand beyond traditional eSignature into full agreement lifecycle automation, driving strong revenue growth and profitability as reported in its fiscal year ended January 31, 2025. The company completed the acquisition of Lexion, an AI-powered agreement management provider, enhancing its IAM capabilities with advanced contract insights, analysis, and automation. Additional developments include appointing Bronwyn Hastings to lead global alliances, forming a strategic partnership with Algebrik AI, selecting Gong's Revenue AI for sales productivity, and partnering with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for government contract efficiency tools with price reductions; it was also named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contract Life Cycle Management for the sixth year.
