Founded in 1937 as Dai-Ichi Seitosho in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, the company is headquartered in Ota-ku, Tokyo. Recent developments include the development of KABRA technology for laser slicing and large-diameter diamond wafer manufacturing, the launch of DKL7640 for efficient GaN wafer production, acquisition of accreditation for dimensional calibration in June 2025, and recognition as 9th in Best Workplaces in Asia 2025 in August 2025.
