- Bangladesh Export Import Company Limited (BEXIMCO) is a diversified industrial conglomerate based in Bangladesh that operates across textiles and garments, renewable energy, information and communication technology, real estate, ceramics, personal protective equipment, marine foods, and international commodity trading. Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the company serves as the flagship entity of the BEXIMCO Group, delivering products and services to commercial, industrial, institutional, and consumer markets across Bangladesh, North America, Europe, Asia, and other international jurisdictions.
The company offers a broad range of products and commercial services organized across primary operating segments: Textiles and Apparel, which comprises vertically integrated manufacturing operations encompassing yarn spinning, fabric weaving, circular knitting, dyeing, finishing, denim processing, and ready-made garment production for multinational apparel brands, as well as the retail operation of the contemporary lifestyle clothing brand Yellow; Renewable Energy, which develops, owns, and operates utility-scale clean energy generation facilities, including the 200-megawatt Teesta Solar Limited power plant and the Korotoa Solar Limited installation; Information and Communication Technology, which provides high-speed enterprise data communications, broadband internet access, system integration, and digital network infrastructure under the Bangladesh Online brand; Personal Protective Equipment, which manufactures certified medical-grade face masks, protective coveralls, surgical gowns, isolation suits, and medical accessories for healthcare and commercial export markets; Ceramics, which manufactures and distributes porcelain and bone china tableware through its affiliate Shinepukur Ceramics Limited; Real Estate and Construction, which undertakes commercial, residential, and industrial real estate development, urban land management, and civil construction projects; and Marine Foods, which operates processing and packaging facilities for frozen marine seafood products, primarily shrimp and finfish.
In recent corporate and operational developments, Bangladesh Export Import Company Limited completed the commercial integration and grid-synchronization of its 200-megawatt Teesta Solar power plant in Gaibandha, representing Bangladesh's largest grid-connected solar installation financed via the landmark Tk 3,000 crore (BDT 30 billion) Beximco Green-Sukuk Al-Istisna'a instrument. The company has continued to manage the operational execution, debt servicing, and conversion mechanisms associated with the Green-Sukuk facility amidst broader capital-market adjustments. Following a temporary judicial receivership order in late 2024, the High Court of Bangladesh annulled the receiver appointment in March 2025, returning full administrative and operational control to the company's internal management under the regulatory oversight and monitoring of Bangladesh Bank. In addition, the organization has implemented strategic operational adjustments across its core textile manufacturing complexes to optimize supply-chain resilience, manage export commitments, and sustain workforce operations.
