Dynasil Corporation of America develops, manufactures and markets detection, sensing and analysis technology products and optical components for the homeland security, medical and industrial markets; its Optics segment supplies synthetic crystals, optical materials, components and coatings used in baggage scanners, medical imaging systems, lasers, analytical instruments, semiconductor devices, spacecraft components and advertising displays; the Innovation and Development segment provides contract research services in radiation detection, high-speed imaging, nuclear instrumentation and non-destructive testing; the Biomedical segment previously focused on hemostasis products through Xcede Technologies. Dynasil serves customers across defense, security, academic research, semiconductors, utilities, aerospace, medical and telecom sectors in 60 countries through subsidiaries including Hilger Crystals, which produces high-volume optical crystals for infrared spectroscopy and scintillation applications up to 2,000 kilograms monthly, Radiation Monitoring Devices (RMD), a leader in radiation detectors and scintillators, and other units such as Dynasil Fused Silica. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Kent, UK, with a workforce of approximately 175 researchers, scientists and engineers maintaining ISO 9001:2015 compliance and ITAR adherence for defense-related products; founded in 1874, Dynasil is headquartered in the United States and trades under the ticker DYSL.
