Business
Energold Drilling Acquisition LP, operating with its subsidiaries as Energold Drilling Corp., delivers specialized drilling solutions across the mining, energy, infrastructure, geotechnical, and water industries globally, with significant operations throughout the Americas, Africa, and Europe. The company organizes its extensive services through distinct segments: Minerals, Energy, and Manufacturing. Within the minerals sector, Energold provides diverse drilling services, including surface, underground, and conventional diamond drilling for exploration and mine site operations. A key specialization involves the deployment of man-portable, modular rigs designed for accessing challenging, remote, or environmentally sensitive locations, aiming to minimize ecological impact. The energy division offers expertise in oil sands coring, shot hole seismic, geothermal, and geotechnical drilling applications. This segment also encompasses horizontal directional drilling for oil and gas pipelines. Furthermore, the company extends its capabilities to water well drilling, which includes mine pit de-watering, hydrogeological assessment, water supply development, and rural and urban well installations. For infrastructure projects, horizontal directional drilling services cater to telecommunications, water, sewage, and hydro lines. The manufacturing segment is dedicated to the design and production of custom drilling rigs for mineral exploration, accommodating methods such as reverse-air-blast, wireline coring, conventional coring, and reverse-circulation drilling. It also develops rigs for geothermal, geotechnical, and water well applications, alongside a range of essential drilling tools, consumables, borehole logging equipment, and mud conditioning systems. The company operates a versatile fleet of approximately 160 rigs. Established in 1973, Energold maintains its headquarters in Vancouver, Canada. Following a restructuring in 2020, the company emerged as a financially robust and profitable entity, backed by significant investment.
