Eisai operates through segments encompassing prescription pharmaceuticals, generics, consumer health care and other businesses; it serves patients, healthcare providers and daily living domains globally with manufacturing sites in Japan, the US, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, India and the UK, and marketing in Asia-Pacific, Americas, EMEA, China and Latin America regions. Founded in 1941 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company maintains research hubs in Japan, the US and UK, employs around 10,000 people with 1,500 in R&D, and trades under ticker ESALF.
