Logistics Development Group plc (LDG) is a United Kingdom-based investing company that focuses on the logistics sector to deliver attractive total returns to shareholders through capital appreciation and prudent distributions. Incorporated in March 2014 and headquartered at 3 More London Riverside, 4th Floor, London SE1 2AQ, the company was originally admitted to AIM in April 2017 as Eddie Stobart Logistics plc, transitioned to an investing company structure in December 2020, and changed its name to Logistics Development Group plc in February 2021. It invests primarily in undervalued quoted and unquoted companies with strong cash flows, revenue visibility, and market positions; equity and equity-related products; DBAY Investment Funds managed by its investment manager DBAY Advisors Limited; and broader sectors including business services such as logistics, distribution, technology services, security, and manufacturing.
The company targets UK and international opportunities in transport, warehousing, rail, freight logistics, supply chain services, and specialized parcel delivery networks.
In July 2025, LDG invested £15 million through its subsidiary Fixtaia Limited into Framtid TopCo Limited, securing a 64.1% interest and resulting in a 50.2% economic look-through stake in The Alternative Parcels Company Ltd (APC), the UK's largest independent parcel delivery network handling over 30 million parcels annually with emphasis on next-day and niche deliveries; this forms part of DBAY's strategy to build a national UK transport and logistics platform, supported by a £30 million senior debt facility and co-investors including WS Investco led by William Stobart. Post-period in October 2025, the WS Group acquired controlling interests in William Stobart & Son Limited (100%, general road haulage and warehousing), WS Digital Freight (70%, asset-light road forwarding), and Bis Henderson (60%, logistics recruitment), maintaining LDG's undiluted position in WS Holdco. William Stobart serves as CEO of the platform, leveraging his experience from prior logistics ventures including Eddie Stobart.
