(ESOCF) operates as a multinational integrated energy company, engaging in the generation, distribution, transmission, and sale of electricity and natural gas worldwide; it manages renewable sources including wind, solar photovoltaic, hydroelectric, geothermal, and thermal power plants, alongside battery energy storage systems (BESS), smart grids, and energy management services such as e-vehicle charging infrastructure and customized solutions for households, businesses, and public bodies. Headquartered in Rome, Italy, and founded in 1962, the company conducts operations across more than 30 countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, serving over 72 million customers through business lines encompassing Enel Green Power for renewables and thermal generation; Enel Grids for distribution infrastructure; Enel X Global Retail for value-added energy products and services; and Global Energy and Commodity Management for wholesale trading and optimization.
