Fidelity Advisor Focused Emerging Markets Fund Class A (FAMKX) is an open-end mutual fund that seeks capital appreciation by investing primarily in securities of issuers in emerging markets and other investments tied to emerging markets; it normally invests at least 80% of assets in common stocks of 30 to 70 companies domiciled or conducting operations in emerging market countries, including those in Asia, Latin America, Africa, and emerging Europe, with allocations across large-, mid-, and small-cap stocks in a blend style. The fund offers Class A shares with a front-end sales load of 5.75%, a net expense ratio of 1.19%, and is available to investors in the United States through financial intermediaries; it targets individual and institutional investors seeking exposure to diversified emerging markets equities, with top sectors including technology, financial services, consumer cyclical, communication services, and basic materials. Launched on March 29, 2004, and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, as part of Fidelity Investments' institutional offerings, the fund had total net assets of approximately $9.71 billion and share class assets of $200.28 million as of the latest reporting. Under the management of Sam Polyak since February 22, 2019, the fund maintains a focused portfolio strategy with holdings such as Tencent Holdings Ltd., Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Wal-Mart de Mexico SAB de CV, and PDD Holdings Inc., representing about 31.70% of the portfolio.
