Business
First Colombia Gold Corp. engages in the exploration and production of oil and gas properties through its Energy and Mining divisions. The company holds interests in 96 oil wells across a gross acreage of 4,302 acres located in Cumberland, Monroe, Overton, and Clinton counties in Tennessee; it also pursues precious minerals exploration, including ownership of two unpatented mining claims at the Skip Silver prospect covering approximately 40 acres in central Montana, as well as historical projects such as Boulder Hill Gold and South Idaho Silver. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, the company previously known as Amazon Goldsands Ltd. until a name change in November 2010, operates primarily in the United States with a focus on natural resource acquisition, development, and production. Recent strategic shifts include a pivot toward healthcare facilities and services, with pursuits of contracts, acquisitions, and joint ventures in medical specialties such as COVID-19 care, dialysis, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, intensive care, and internal medicine; past efforts encompassed the 2015 acquisition of Enterprise Partners Inc. including a letter of intent for 11 gas stations and convenience stores in Alabama, an agreement to acquire UMMC Corp. as a Texas medical operator, and a 2022 announced but later unwound acquisition of Singa Energy.
