Business
FS Credit Opportunities Corp. (NYSE: FSCO) is a closed-end fixed income fund that generates attractive total return through high current income and capital appreciation via a dynamic credit strategy investing across public and private markets; it primarily targets global credit instruments including secured and unsecured floating- and fixed-rate loans, bonds, event-driven credit, special situations, private capital solutions, and non-traditional opportunities in diversified sectors with a primary focus on North America and opportunistic exposure to Europe and other regions. Launched in 2013 by Franklin Square Capital Partners and managed by FS Global Advisor, LLC, the fund is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with approximately $2.2 billion in assets under management as of late 2025. In October 2025, it completed a $200 million private issuance of term preferred shares to support redemptions and portfolio management; monthly distributions for October, November, and December 2025 were declared at a consistent level, fully covered by net investment income on a tax basis throughout the year, reflecting year-to-date total returns of around 9.5% on NAV; the fund originated from the December 2020 merger of multiple FS Global Credit Opportunities Funds and converted to a Maryland corporation in March 2022.
