Business
FTC Solar, Inc. FTC Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FTCI) provides solar tracker systems, software solutions, and engineering services for utility-scale solar energy projects worldwide. The company offers its flagship Voyager single-axis tracker system designed for two modules in portrait orientation, which optimizes solar panel positioning to maximize energy production; the Pioneer single-axis tracker for one module in portrait orientation; and advanced software for solar design automation, project management, and performance monitoring, alongside engineering, procurement, construction management (EPCM) services, pile testing, maintenance, and support. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, FTC Solar operates globally with sales and support in Australia, India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and other regions, serving project developers, solar asset owners, and engineering contractors; it outsources manufacturing to partners while focusing on innovative tracker designs noted for reliability, low installation costs, and speed. In recent developments, FTC Solar entered a $75 million strategic financing facility with Cleanhill Partners, AV Securities, and other investors in July 2025, including an initial $14.3 million term loan closed on July 2 and up to $37.5 million more, bolstering liquidity amid over 6.5 gigawatts of new Tier 1 customer business and a $462 million backlog. The company signed a 1GW tracker supply agreement with Levona Renewables in Q3 2025 for shipments starting early 2026 on the 140MW CT Solar One project in Texas; launched new products including a single-axis tracker for extreme wind conditions, an automated 80-degree hail stow for the Pioneer 1P, and the 1P Pioneer+ Terrain Following tracker unveiled at RE+ 2025 for complex sites. FTC Solar also agreed in late 2025 to acquire the remaining 55% stake in joint venture Alpha Steel—a Houston, Texas-based steel fabricator established in 2023 with Taihua New Energy—for $2.7 million cash, gaining full control of torque tubes, rails, and components eligible for Section 45X tax credits to enhance domestic content under the One Big Beautiful Bill and supply chain resilience. Q3 2025 revenue reached $26 million, up 157% year-over-year and the highest since Q3 2023, with adjusted EBITDA at five-year highs and reduced losses.
