In recent developments, Genetic Technologies completed the sale of its AffinityDNA and EasyDNA direct-to-consumer businesses to Endeavor DNA, Inc. in January 2025 and sold its geneType business and assets to Rhythm Biosciences Limited in December 2024; it executed binding term sheets in June 2025 for the strategic acquisitions of Ellerfield Wealth Pty Ltd and Walker Capital Private Wealth Pty Ltd for A$7 million in shares to pivot into diversified financial services and wealth management; additionally, the company implemented a capital-light operating model restructure in 2024, reducing monthly cash burn from A$800,000 to under A$200,000, launched geneType globally on the EasyDNA platform across 42 countries, expanded into Canada and New Zealand, secured B2B partnerships such as with Wellworks for U.S. employer groups, and appointed Jules Grove as Chief Financial Officer effective May 2025 while transitioning CEO Simon Morriss.
