Business
Wagners Holding Company Limited (ASX:WGN) manufactures and supplies construction materials and services alongside new generation building materials to customers in the construction, infrastructure, resources, residential, industrial, renewables and mining sectors. The company operates through four principal segments: Construction Materials, which produces cement, fly ash, ready-mix concrete from fixed and mobile batch plants, precast concrete products, aggregates from owned quarries, reinforcing steel, bulk haulage, contract crushing and on-site concrete batching; Project Services, which delivers specialised project solutions including precast concrete for bridges, overpasses and tunnels, mobile concrete supply, bulk haulage to minerals and resources customers and mobile crushing; Composite Fibre Technologies (CFT), which develops lightweight, corrosion-resistant pultruded composite products such as power poles, crossarms, boardwalks, bridges, walkways, marinas and marine piles as alternatives to steel, aluminium and timber; and Earth Friendly Concrete (EFC), which provides carbon-reducing concrete technology. Wagners maintains a vertically integrated supply chain across its operations, with in-house engineering and maintenance enhancing efficiency; it serves Australian and international markets including the United States, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Papua New Guinea and Malaysia. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Wellcamp, Queensland, Australia, the company employs over 700 personnel across five countries and lists 27 subsidiaries under its group structure. In the year to June 2025, Wagners reports group revenue of A$431 million and operating EBIT of A$41.8 million, with Construction Materials revenue advancing 19% to A$257 million on 54% concrete growth, stable cement volumes, 30% aggregates expansion and margin gains from pricing, efficiencies and asset utilisation; CFT revenue rises 15% to A$68.4 million with EBIT surging to A$9.8 million on power pole and crossarm demand in Australia, New Zealand and the US alongside operational improvements; Project Services revenue declines 49% post-Sydney Metro precast tunnel completion, though bulk haulage and wind farm concrete projects sustain EBIT stability. Recent strategic expansions encompass A$15 million land acquisitions for three new South East Queensland concrete batch plants, with two under construction to expand the network from seven to nine sites plus upgrades boosting capacity amid housing approvals growth and Brisbane 2032 Olympics infrastructure; CFT manufacturing scales in Toowoomba targeting doubled power pole output to 8,000 units in fiscal 2026 with automation enhancing margins; international CFT project wins advance in pedestrian infrastructure, road bridges and marine sectors. Net debt reduces 29% to A$34 million supporting capital investments, while the board declares a full-year dividend of 3.2 cents per share.
