Elanders conducts business in approximately 20 countries across four continents, with key markets in China, Germany, Singapore, Sweden, the UK and the USA; it employs nearly 8,000 people and maintains over 125 locations with around 2.0 million square meters of production and warehouse space. Founded in 1908 and headquartered in Mölndal, Sweden, the company is a subsidiary of Carl Bennet AB. Recent developments include the February 2024 acquisition of nearly 90% of Bishopsgate Newco Ltd, a UK specialist in transportation, installation and configuration of medical devices, printers, data centers and EV charging stations; the April 2024 completion of acquiring the remaining 20% of Bergen Logistics for $47 million; the establishment of a contract logistics unit in Thailand in 2024 serving a major electronics customer; structural measures in 2024 such as consolidating US warehouse facilities, discontinuing low-profitability subscription box operations and phasing out much of its German road transport operations to generate annual savings of about MSEK 50 and MEUR 3.5; and the appointment of Åsa Vilsson as CFO in April 2024.
