- EuroGroup Laminations S.p.A. is an Italy-based multinational industrial manufacturing company that designs, develops, produces, and distributes high-precision stators and rotors for electric motors and generators. The company operates through two core business segments: EV & Automotive and Industrial. Its product and service portfolio includes stator and rotor laminations for electric vehicle (EV) traction drivetrains; auxiliary automotive electric motor cores for electric power steering, anti-lock braking systems (ABS), engine cooling fans, electronic turbochargers, and automotive HVAC compressors; electrical motor cores for commercial and residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units; lamination stacks for industrial pumps, compressors, and automation machinery; components for wind turbine generators and household appliances; and magnetic cores for electrical power transformers. In addition, the company provides vertically integrated engineering and tooling solutions, comprising the proprietary in-house design, prototyping, and fabrication of ultra-precision carbide blanking dies, stamping tools, and aluminum die-casting molds, as well as specialized bonding technologies, including glued lamination tooling, laser welding, and mechanical interlocking. Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Baranzate, Italy, EuroGroup Laminations serves global automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Tier 1 automotive suppliers, and industrial electrical equipment producers across Europe, North America, and Asia, operating manufacturing facilities in Italy, Mexico, the United States, China, India, and Tunisia. In recent developments, the company broadened its geographical footprint and entered the transformer lamination market by acquiring a controlling 40 percent stake in India-based Kumar Precision Stampings Private Limited in November 2024. In early 2025, the company consolidated its operational footprint in China by acquiring the remaining minority interests in two joint ventures from long-term partner Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. (MISI). The company also entered into a strategic technical supply agreement with Marelli Motorsport to provide high-performance stators for electric motorsport powertrains beginning in the 2026–2027 season. In July 2025, private equity firm FountainVest Capital entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling stake in EuroGroup Laminations from principal shareholders EMS and Tikehau Capital, initiating a transaction structure intended to culminate in a public tender offer and subsequent delisting from Euronext Milan.
