Buzzi S.p.A. maintains integrated operations across cement plants, concrete facilities, and quarries primarily in Italy, the United States, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Mexico, Brazil, and other regions, serving ready-mix producers, paving contractors, block manufacturers, and infrastructure projects with an annual cement capacity exceeding 40 million tons globally. Founded in 1872 and headquartered in Casale Monferrato, Italy, the company rebranded from Buzzi Unicem S.p.A. to Buzzi S.p.A. in May 2023 as part of a corporate reorganization to emphasize its role as the parent coordinating Italian and international subsidiaries. Recent strategic developments include the full acquisition of its Brazilian joint venture NCPAR from Grupo Ricardo Brennand in October 2024 for approximately EUR300 million, granting 100% control of five full-cycle cement plants and two grinding centers with 7.2 million tons annual capacity; in early 2025, it expanded its Alpe-Adria partnership with Wietersdorfer's Alpacem group by selling the Fanna cement plant in Italy and acquiring a 25% stake in Alpacem Zement Austria, enhancing regional presence in Austria, Italy, and Slovenia.
