In a major strategic shift announced in March 2025, Ubisoft creates Vantage Studios as a new subsidiary to manage development of its flagship Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six franchises, with Tencent investing €1.16 billion for a 25% stake at a €4 billion valuation; the transaction nears completion as of November 2025, enabling deleveraging through early debt repayment and focusing the parent company on other IPs like Ghost Recon and The Division alongside new technologies. Recent leadership appointments for the subsidiary include co-CEOs Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot, while Ubisoft launches accessibility tools like the open-source Chroma colorblind simulator and joins the Accessible Games Initiative; it also expands Ubisoft+ with Activision Blizzard titles and inaugurates new facilities such as the 7,700m² Ubisoft Bordeaux studio.
