CGI Inc. (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A) is a Canadian multinational information technology (IT) and business consulting services firm that provides end-to-end solutions including IT consulting, systems integration, managed IT and business process services (BPS); application development and maintenance; infrastructure management; business intelligence; cyber security; digital transformation; and industry-specific offerings for sectors such as banking and finance, government, health, telecommunications, manufacturing, energy, retail, transportation, and utilities. Founded in 1976 and headquartered at 1350 René-Lévesque Blvd W in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the company operates globally across North America, Western and Southern Europe, Scandinavia, the UK, Australia, and other regions, serving private enterprises, central governments, and public sector entities with approximately 90,000 professionals. CGI delivers proprietary software solutions such as CGI Advantage (an ERP platform for government) and CGI Retail Suite, alongside full outsourcing services encompassing customer service and billing, payment processing, engineering logistics, and document management. In recent developments, CGI signed a share purchase agreement on January 29, 2025, to acquire BJSS, a UK-based technology and engineering consultancy specializing in software engineering and IT solutions, with the transaction expected to close in February 2025 pending regulatory approvals; additionally, on October 22, 2025, CGI announced an agreement to acquire Comarch Polska SA, a leading Polish IT firm, to accelerate growth in Eastern Europe; and on December 3, 2025, it completed the acquisition of Online Business Systems in Winnipeg, Canada, expanding its North American enterprise client footprint. The company also renewed and expanded its long-standing partnership with Highmark Inc., a U.S. health organization subsidiary, on December 1, 2025, to enhance claim payment programs and drive innovation in healthcare services; further, CGI secured a contract worth up to £250 million over five years with the UK's His Majesty's Revenue and Customs for integration services.
