The company offers outerwear, dresses, sportswear, swimwear, women's suits, footwear, handbags, hats, jewelry, and other accessories under more than 30 owned and licensed brands; owned brands include DKNY, Donna Karan New York, Karl Lagerfeld, Karl Lagerfeld Paris, Vilebrequin, Sonia Rykiel, G.H. Bass, Andrew Marc, Eliza J, Jessica Howard, and G-III Sports; licensed brands include Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, Halston, Champion, Converse, Cole Haan, Dockers, Levi's, Vince Camuto, Margaritaville, BCBG, Kenneth Cole, and major U.S. sports leagues such as the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and NASCAR. Products are distributed through department stores, specialty retailers, freestanding stores, digital platforms, and international channels, targeting consumers across categories, channels, and geographies. Founded in 1956 by Aron Goldfarb and headquartered in New York, the company maintains international offices in Canada, China, Italy, Paris, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, with global sourcing and manufacturing partnerships. In recent developments, G-III increased its ownership stake in All We Wear Group (AWWG), which owns Pepe Jeans London, Hackett, and Façonnable, from 12% to approximately 19% in July 2024 to support mutual expansions in North America, Europe, and India, particularly for DKNY; the company also secured new licensing agreements for Converse (launching Fall 2025), Champion, Nautica, and Halston in 2023-2024 to bolster casualwear, active lifestyle, and sportswear segments; and continues global brand growth initiatives, including Karl Lagerfeld store openings in London, Hamburg, and Latin America.
