In August 2024, Shift4 Payments, Inc. agreed to acquire Givex in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately C$200 million, representing a 64% premium to recent share prices, with the deal adding over 130,000 merchant locations to Shift4's base and integrating Givex's solutions into its payments platform; the acquisition closed subsequent to announcement, positioning Givex as part of Shift4's ecosystem for enhanced commerce technology.
