(NYSE: GNW) provides insurance products and services focused on long-term care, mortgage insurance, life insurance, and annuities; it operates through segments including Enact for primary mortgage insurance and contract underwriting services, Long-Term Care Insurance for policies covering home, assisted living, and nursing facility costs, and Life and Annuities for term, universal, and corporate-owned life insurance, fixed and variable annuities, and funding agreements. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, the company traces its origins to 1871 as The Life Insurance Company of Virginia and conducts operations primarily in the United States with international mortgage insurance exposure through its majority-owned subsidiary Enact Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACT). Genworth distributes products via sales forces, representatives, and digital channels to individuals, families, lenders, and institutions navigating aging, caregiving, and housing risks. Recent developments include the October 2025 acquisition of Seniorly to expand CareScout into senior living communities, the launch of Care Assurance as CareScout's inaugural standalone long-term care insurance product targeting 25 to 35 states in 2025, a new $350 million share repurchase authorization with $76 million executed in Q3 2025 and $151 million year-to-date through September, over $1.2 billion in capital returns received from Enact since its IPO including $110 million in Q3, ongoing multi-year rate action plan progress with $44 million in gross incremental premium approvals in Q3 yielding $31.8 billion estimated net present value since 2012, and Enact's reinsurance agreements and $435 million revolving credit facility.
