GSK plc is a British multinational biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, manufactures and markets prescription medicines, vaccines and specialty therapies focused on respiratory/immunology, oncology, HIV and infectious diseases. Founded through the 2000 merger of Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham with origins tracing to 1715, the company is headquartered at 79 New Oxford Street in London, England, and operates globally with manufacturing sites in 37 countries, delivering products to markets including the US, Europe, Asia and emerging regions.
