Business
Acomo N.V., operating as a prominent holding entity with an international network, specializes in the comprehensive sourcing, processing, packaging, and global distribution of diverse conventional and organic ingredients and specialized solutions for the food and beverage sector. The enterprise is structured around five core divisions: Spices and Nuts, Edible Seeds, Organic Ingredients, Tea, and Food Solutions. Its Spices and Nuts segment delivers a variety of tropical items, including pepper, nutmeg, coconut products, various shelled and unshelled nuts, dried fruits, dehydrated vegetables, herbs, rice crackers, and snack items. The Edible Seeds division procures and distributes a range of seeds, such as sunflower (both in-kernel and shelled), poppy, sesame, pumpkin, and flax seeds. The Organic Ingredients segment offers a broad selection of certified organic food products, encompassing items like cocoa, coffee, fruits, vegetables, edible seeds, nuts, dried fruits, oils, and premium juices, although this segment has faced some challenges recently. The Tea division focuses on the global supply and distribution of various tea products. Meanwhile, the Food Solutions segment develops and supplies culinary and functional components, plant-based options, and both wet and dry blends and spice mixtures for industrial food manufacturers. Originally established in 1819, the company previously operated as Amsterdam Commodities N.V. before officially adopting the name Acomo N.V. in June 2022. Headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Acomo N.V. continuously strengthens its market position, including recent strategic acquisitions like Manuzzi Srl in nuts and dried fruits, and expanding its credit facilities.
