Recent developments include the June 2025 acquisition of Canadian distributor Centennial Optical to expand ophthalmic frame, lens, and accessory distribution in North America; the acquisition of remaining shares in PLASMABIOTICS SAS to strengthen med-tech capabilities; an asset purchase agreement with Merit Medical Systems for C2 CryoBalloon Technology; multiple simplified absorption-type company splits involving its contact lens retail, endoscope business in Japan, and voice synthetic software operations; a commitment to Science Based Targets for climate action; and introductions of performance-based stock compensation plans including Performance Share Units and Restricted Stock Units.
