Business
International Gas Product Shipping Joint Stock Company (Gas Shipping, HOSE: GSP) is a Vietnam-based maritime logistics and energy transportation enterprise primarily engaged in the coastal and international transportation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), refined petroleum products, and liquid bulk chemicals. Founded in October 2007 and headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the company operates as a key subsidiary of PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans) within the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) ecosystem. The company commands a leading position in Vietnam's domestic LPG marine transport market while maintaining active shipping routes throughout Southeast Asia, South China, South Asia, and the Middle East. The company organizes its business operations across marine transportation, multimodal logistics, trading, and maritime technical services. Its primary offerings include: marine transportation of pressurized and semi-refrigerated Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) via a dedicated fleet of coastal and regional gas carriers; maritime transport of clean petroleum products, crude oil derivatives, and liquid specialty chemicals using chemical and oil tankers; vessel chartering solutions, including time charters, voyage spot charters, and bareboat charter arrangements for industrial energy clients and global commodity traders; inland road transportation and distribution of LPG utilizing specialized road tank trucks and ISO tank containers; technical ship management, vessel maintenance, marine engineering, and safety audit services; crew management, recruitment, and maritime staffing services; commercial wholesale trading and supply of LPG and petroleum derivatives; and comprehensive port agency, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and marine logistics support. In recent operational developments, International Gas Product Shipping Joint Stock Company has executed a strategic fleet expansion and modernization program to scale its regional shipping market share and broaden its presence in the chemical transportation segment. The company has expanded its transport capacity through the acquisition and commissioning of modern gas carriers, including the addition of the 5,000 CBM-capacity LPG carrier Hai Phong Gas and the liquefied gas tanker MT Phoenix Gas for deployment on international trading routes. In parallel, the company has advanced its business diversification by investing in and operating oil and chemical tankers ranging from 13,000 DWT to 25,000 DWT to capture growing liquid chemical freight demand across the Asia-Pacific region. To fund these vessel acquisitions and support strategic fleet scaling, the company executed share capital increases to elevate its charter capital beyond VND 675 billion, supported by expanded long-term transportation partnerships with domestic energy producers and international charterers.
